Summer in Tahoe
Lake Tahoe is a dream vacation for nature-loving, and adventurous tourists. The cobalt blue lake surrounded by Sierra Nevada mountains seats along the border of California and Nevada. Beautiful cabins adorned by lush vegetation creates an atmosphere of relaxation and can be a great location for a retreat. My image of Tahoe had always been one of sitting in such cute cabins sipping a mug of hot chocolate while watching people ski and perform winter sports. Yes! I had always thought that I would visit Lake Tahoe in the winter months because of the vibe and breathtaking views but I can tell you that visiting in summer season is equally as adventurous and fulfilling. The closest airport to Lake Tahoe is in Reno, Nevada and its is roughly about an hour drive of amazing views. Trust me, you wouldn’t notice how time flew by lol!
I stayed in Edgewood resort which is the only resort nestled by the scenic shoreline of lake Tahoe. I was simply in awe of the structure…almost everything was made of wood! It has a beautiful golf course, only a few steps to the lake and oh such an elegant restaurant as well. I would describe my experience there in one word: impeccable! Did I forget to mention that I got engaged in this place? It will forever by a memorable place for me.
One day of activity
It was a weekend getaway, so I didn’t get to do a lot of activities. Nevertheless, I went to Heavenly village resort which is a location packed with so many fun-filled activities. It is littered with shops, food places, and outdoor activities. I went on the Gondola cab car ride which is a 2.4 mile ride up in the Gondola mountain where one gets to experience the paranormal view of Lake Tahoe.
There’s so much more exploration to be done in this beautiful town and I can’t wait to be back many more times!
