In the past few months I started a new exercise routine that involved Spin class. If any of you have ever taken such a class, you would realize how intense it could be. This exercise makes one burn a great deal of calories and sweat it out haha. On one fateful day, I had gone in for my routine and towards the tail end of the class, my head began spinning as well, no pun intended lol. I was lucky that my gym was just a few miles from where I lived, so I rested a while in my car before heading home. During the drive home, I began to ponder what may have gone wrong. I had performed this activity before, I am in good health, I had a good weekend…but it’s a Monday, I hadn’t drank enough water the previous day prior to conducting my new exercise routine. Water intake is very vital to the human body; maintains homeostasis, rejuvenates the skin and the list continues.

Sometimes I forget that I haven’t been drinking as much water as I should because I tend to get less thirsty during the cold seasons or I drink other fluids that is clearly not water. The daily recommended water intake is approximately 3L per day. What I do for the most part is fill up my 32oZ water bottle and refill it throughout the day. I’m thinking of upgrading my bottle to a new one with a fruit infuser, the added taste may be an incentive to drink more water. What are your thoughts?
